Beating the Heat with some B&J

hello friendsies! i'd like to apologize for my lack of any posts these past few days. in between school, the release of the 2012 Bar exam results, my friends' graduation, pleadings to make, and groupworks to do, busy would be an understatement - i was literally running from one thing to another just to get some stuff done. and not to mention my exams! lol. so anyhoo, i'm just glad my exams are finally over and school is officially out. other than our bi-weekly law diagnostic exams for review, my summer this year is basically mine to do whatever i want, so long as i'll read all those law books i have to read for school. yey!

so moving on, the summer heat lately have been scorching - i could barely walk a few meters from our apartment without beads sweat already running down my face. urgh. i have no problem commuting my way to anywhere but at times like this, especially when you're walking for a considerable stretch, i wish i'm driving my own car. o.O looking on the bright side though, this perfect beach weather is also a perfect excuse to cool off and what better way to cool off than have something literally cold - ice cream!

my mom and i was at shopwise the other day and decided to buy a pint of ice cream to bring home. we decided on Ben & Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk. i know, i know. lol. this is me super cheating on my planned diet but what the heck, it's summer and ice cream was just too perfect to pass up. this is also my first B&J ice cream as i've always go for something cheaper. as a tribute to summer, we felt like indulging so why not B&J, right?

i have to say that B&J DID NOT DISAPPOINT. i lalalove New York Super Fudge Chunk and that's saying a lot. i love junk foods to death but ice cream was always something that i could live without. after B&J, my heart is singing a different tune. hahahahha!

it says on the label that New York Super Fudge Chunk is made up of "chocolate ice cream with dark and white fudge chunks, pecans, walnuts, and fudge-covered almonds." yummy to the max, right?

basically, the cold treat tasted like ice cream heaven - creamy, flavorful, and indeed, very heavy with fudge chunks and whatnots. i love how it tastes so luxurious, as if the makers were not that worried about sacrificing the taste quality for the sake of profits coz it didn't taste commercialized at all. for P285/pint, I'd definitely buy this ice cream brand again.. it's more expensive than the local brands but it sure was worth it. 😄
